In the bid to prove its neutrality, for the past three-four months it seems Star Ananda is resembling 24 Ghanta a lot. It is absolutely true that the present government is messing up a lot of issues , but is it also ethical on the part of a renowned media channel to only project the negative aspects of a particular person or government? As a common citizen of Kolkata should we then start to believe that after long 34 years this changed government has proved to be a failure based on their NEUTRAL reporting- or should we take it otherwise; that the ego of the journalists of this channel has been hurt in anyway for which this sudden switch-over to neutrality? Mr. Suman Dey, Editor, Star Ananda, is regularly found to be an unfit example of being a journalist. His brand of journalism clearly portarys him as a political henchman of TMC.

Star Ananda is just a blind spokeperson of TMC... If anyone is politically unbiased he/she can without any problem see that he ia a paid person of TMC.. In his interviews with Mamata he never showed his agressiveness. When mamata was asked about gyaneshwari express incident he didnt ask proof how she is still telling that it had been caused by CPIM wher her so called impartial CBI has proved it had been caused by Janasadharan Committee an Ally uptil that time of the TMC.....
Star Ananda has become the Media partner of TMC in the election campaign just like the 24 ghanta who air left ideals..
I have never seen Star Ananda point a single finger at TMC ever... Why have they never questioned Mamata how come Mamata who speaks about giving employment to lakhs has in her own rail ministry a staff shortage of over 1,50,000 approx and still threw 20,000 people out of rail,.. How come Star Ananda never asks her how she managed to cause rail the highest loss in history of Indian Railways ? I am not a born politician. But I worked in a rural medical college like North Bengal Medical College(NBMC) for long 16 years. I also worked very close to the rural administration at Singur rural Hospital in between 1984 and 1989.
It is a fact that the damage to the health system might have a link from the inception of the work rule of the ruling government.

I worked there in the NBMC and moved every corner of the areas of NB. Green verge must remain ever green. Health is virtually neglected in the tea garden. Please make a way for them so that the people can move with smile.

We are regular watchers of your talk shows in the TV. We like your style of presentation on various topics. However,
yesterday we read an interesting quotation in the Telegraph which reads as
“I think television has betrayed the meaning of democratic speech, adding visual chaos to the confusion of voices. What role does
silence have in all this noise?” we witnessed the same confusion and chaos created yesterday evening on your show on “ PRATIPAKHA” by
some speakers who choose to shout and disturb other speakers,
We offer the following suggestions for better control and effective management of the talk shows in the TV.
( BEFORE THE EPISODE STARTS- ALL THE GUEST SPEAKERS ARE TO BE BRIEFED ABOUT THE FOLLOWING
GROUND RULES THAT YOU AS A HOST WOULD APPLY)
· The control of hand-held-microphone switches should be with the Host and he should switch off all microphones other than his own and the speaker whom the host has allowed to deliver his view.
· Other participant should wait for their turn and concentrate on listening, instead of disturbing the allotted speaker. They can make their objecion and refute during their turn to speak.
· If still anybody disturbs the allotted speakers or the Host, his or her voice should be silenced technically by the audio editor.
Hope you find our suggestion useful and implement them to make the Talk Shows more effective and listeners’ friendly.

At the outset let me congratulate Star Ananda for hosting an opinionated discussion on Dantewada massacre of CRPF jawans under the banner of Prati-Paksha, telecasted on 7th April’2010. As the selected panel members belonged to different origin of profession (with respect to their field of work), therefore, a multifarious hypotheses of the present Mao-badi related problem were received. But I was a bit surprised on Mr. Abu Bashar’s comment differentiating the poverty scale of Muslims and Adivasis. Fire victims of Stephen Court are getting very much annoyed to see any visiting politicians at the site of incidents. This is not correct attitude. They may be visiting the site for many reasons but one has to understand that they have the power to mobilize any beneficial or corrective measures. No agencies; like hospital, municipality office etc. will listen a commoner but obey the powerful politicians. Besides, ruling administration is also gets alert of the presence of opposition at the location of disaster and tries to speed up the operation because of the fear of criticism. Further, by visiting, other political parties get the fact on the spot and may educate themselves the pros and con of the requirement, which might help them to be equipped the various dept. if at all they get the ruling stick. posted on 2010-03-26

Though W.Bengal Govt gives permission for erecting high rise buildings but does not equiped itself for disaster management with better infra-structure. Its fire fighting eqiupment are also loaded with conventionally old instruments. Some recent incidents, Nandaram market to Stephen court have pathetically proved that the existing fire fighting system under Minister P. Dear Sir, I'm very much astonished to note the huge media cverage of SFI win over in 'KALA VIVAG' of Jadavpur Univ,received. What is the great about it. In other states, where the education is given a prime importance, they discourage all these sorts of students union-bazi, which actually spoils the education system. We've witnessed many disruption of study time in Universities/colleages in Bengal due to student union activeties. Also we've seen occurrences of so many blodshed in colleage campuses just for capturing student union leadership in recent times. Please ignore them.
