1Sub: Complaint against CSTC Bus No.WB-04D-1900 on Route No.10 for causing accident and serious injury to the undersigned on 29-09-2011. Sir, I am a Central Govt. Employee, serving at Geological Survey of India, 27, J.L.Nehru Road, Kolkata-700016. I may bring to your kind notice that in order to go to Howrah, to get a local Train to reach my home at Chandannagar, I was waiting on Mayo Road near it’s crossing with Park Street on 29-09-2011 at about 3.40 P.M. The place where I was waiting, was a designated Bus Stop and a CSTC Bus of Route No.10, bearing Regn.No.WB-04D-1900, with a single entry-cum-exit door, screeched to a halt and before I could grab the handle-bar of the door properly, the Bus suddenly started moving tending to take a high pick-up. As the situation was totally unexpected and as I was totally out of my wit to react with such a development, I could not also loosen my grip from the handle-bar, which resulted in dragging me by the Bus dangerously for quite some distance with the chance of getting crushed under the rear-wheel of the Bus. After a little while somehow, I lost grip of the handle and thrown-off the Bus, resulting in temporarily loss of sense and when I regained sense, I just shivered to wonder and realize that I have been saved with the grace of God just by whisker, otherwise I would have been run over and crushed by the rear-wheel of the Bus in question. I may inform that I have a habit of taking a look at the number-plates of buses before I board them and in this particular case, I could also take note of the number and memorize it. The Bus, after throwing me off, sped away without the Driver or the Conductor even bothering about my fate and it was only with the help of some passers-by that I could stand up and ultimately reach my home at Chandannagar with cut, bruises, pain over my body and particularly my head, and totally exhausted and traumatized, mentally and physically. It need not be over emphasized that the Driver of the concerned Bus was driving in a very rash and negligent way without bothering for the movement/alighting/boarding of the passengers, as is required for a driver of a Public Transport Vehicle and for such careless, negligence and irresponsible act, I might have come across a fatal accident and lost my life. In such a situation, I sent an e-mail to Dy.Commissioner of Police (Traffic Deptt.) and Maidan P.S., Kolkata, on 30-09-2011
